County Girls' Championship

Congratulations to Alexis Hutton (Falkirk Tryst) who won the County Girls' Matchplay Championship at Falkirk Golf Club today. Alexis beat Alison Goodwin (Glenbervie) by 2 holes in an exciting final.

County Girls Championship

Nine girls took part in today's County Girls Strokeplay Championship at Falkirk Golf Club. The result was:

Scratch
1st Alison Goodwin (Glenbervie) 82
2nd Tiffiny Wood (Glenbervie) 89
3rd Alexis Hutton (Falkirk Tryst) 91

Handicap
1st Kirsty McGuckin (Bonnybridge) 104 - 30 = 74
2nd Catherine Goodwin (Glenbervie)105 - 30 = 75

The CSS was 76 (Reduction Only)

Nicole wins U16s at Craigielaw

Nicole Underhill(Falkirk Tryst) won the U16 category of the East of Scotland Girls' Autumn Meeting held on Sunday 30 August at Craigielaw Golf Club.She scored 88-17=71.The CSS was 72.Eight S&C girls took part in the meeting.

Alexis wins at Callander

Well done to Falkirk Tryst's Alexis Hutton who scored 74 round Callander and won their recent Junior Open.

Strathtyrum Tournament

Alison and Helen Goodwin (both Glenbervie) competed in the Strathtyrum Tournament held at St Andrews last week. After qualifying rounds on the New and Eden courses Helen qualified for the handicap knockout and Alison qualified for the scratch knockout. Helen lost in the 1st round of the handicap tournament to the eventual winner, Rebecca Gammon (Ashford) and Alison lost in the second round of the scratch tournament to the eventual runner up Elaine Clark (Manchester). The tournament was won by East of Scotland Girls' champion Rachel Hanlon of the St Regulus club who birdied the 19th hole in an exciting final.

St Andrews Junior Ladies Open

Well done to Helen Goodwin, Catherine Goodwin (both Glenbervie) and Nicole Underhill (Falkirk Tryst) who qualified for the handicap knockout competition and Alison Goodwin (Glenbervie) who qualified for the scratch knockout competition after 18 holes qualifying on the Strathtyrum course at St Andrews. Catherine was the leading qualifier in the handicap section. Unfortunately all the girls were knocked out inthe first round of the matchplay stages.

West Kilbride Girls' Open

Well done to Beth Donoghue (Brucefields) and Kirsty McGuckin (Bonnybridge) who came second and third in the bronze division at the West Kilbride Girls' Open which was held recently.
